Fixture Overview

The MG6K is a cinema-scale RGB LED point-source light built around a separated light head and controller architecture. That split design matters: it helps with thermal management, makes rigging safer, and keeps the head more manageable when you’re mounting it on stands, truss, or overhead systems.

This is not an owner-operator light. It’s intended for experienced crews and rental-house environments.

The MG6K is built to replace the “big gun” role that used to belong almost exclusively to large HMIs.

Light Quality and Output

The MG6K produces a hard, intense, directional beam with serious throw. It’s designed for lighting large areas, pushing through windows, firing through massive diffusion frames, or creating a controllable “sun” effect.

Like any point-source monster, the final look depends on modifiers. The fixture’s job is punch; shaping is done with reflectors, Fresnels/projection optics, bounce, and large diffusion.

Color and Control

The MG6K is a full-color RGB fixture, meaning it can produce both accurate white light and saturated colors without gels. The wide CCT range plus green–magenta adjustment makes it practical for matching other sources and correcting mixed environments.

Control is aimed at professional sets, supporting console workflows and multi-fixture integration (DMX/RDM, CRMX, Ethernet protocols, Bluetooth/app control, and controller-based operation). This is made for real lighting control, not “tap your phone and hope.”

Power and Electrical Workflow

The MG6K is a high-draw fixture intended for productions with proper power planning. It includes a power limit range (10%–100%), which is useful when you need to stay inside a generator budget or a location’s electrical constraints.

This is a major advantage over older high-wattage sources: you can choose to run it “below full” without changing fixtures.
