Overview
The Aladdin FABRIC-LITE 350 is a foldable 350 W bi-colour fabric LED panel with a nominal three-foot-square face. It provides a broad soft source for overheads, interviews and location work, with a separate power and control package.

It is also identified as FABRIC-LITE 35 in Aladdin kit and accessory codes. That shorter number is a model name, not a 35 W power rating. The 200 W and 350 W versions use different power arrangements.

Strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Large emitting face folds for transport
- Soft variable-white lighting
- Frame, diffusion and grid system
Limitations
- The complete frame and power package is larger than the fabric alone.
- No independent RGB or pixel control.
- The two wattage versions have different electrical requirements.
Practical uses
Table overhead. Tension the mat on its proper frame and add diffusion and a grid for the working setup. Assess the entire rigging load and retain power equipment independently.
Soft interview key. Bring the broad source close enough to create the intended wrap, then use negative fill to keep contrast. Use the grid or flags to keep light off the background.
Studio ambience. Use it as a broad top or side source where a small hard spotlight would need a separate bounce. Check the illuminated area rather than only a centre meter reading.
Output and colour
The linked Aladdin photometric graphic is specific to this wattage. Compare at the published distance and CCT, with the same modifier configuration. Do not transfer output figures between the 200 W and 350 W fabric heads.
Diffusion, a grid and the distance from the subject determine the working softness and level. A larger emitting face is not a narrow-beam daylight punch light, even when its electrical rating is substantial.

Power and batteries
The current product page identifies a 48 V system and a dual-battery converter using two 26 V batteries. Full Kit lists include two AC adapters. Use the matching complete supply arrangement; an ordinary single V-mount battery is not a direct 48 V feed.
The 2022 panel manual also lists 12–30 V at the dimmer, while the current product page identifies the complete 48 V package. The 350 W dimmer guide shows a separate dual-input power adapter. Identify the complete controller and converter arrangement from its labels before choosing supplies; do not assume a single lower-power adapter can run the 350 W system.
Control, cooling and camera operation
The matching dimmer provides two-channel bi-colour control, wired DMX and LumenRadio in the listed kit arrangement. Keep the antenna unobstructed and the controller reachable for addressing, pairing and local operation.
The mat is passively cooled. Leave airflow around the fabric and avoid taping across emitters or folding it sharply while operating. Panel IP32 and dimmer IP21 are limited, different ratings; keep the electrical package protected from wet conditions.
350 W controller and two-source adapter
The FBS350BIMADIM manual specifies a 48 V input through a three-pin power-adapter socket, 5-pin DMX input/output and a two-channel white/bi-colour personality. Choose cable or LumenRadio control in the menu; the unit restarts to save that selection.
The separate power adapter provides A and B inputs, battery mounting and an AC/battery selector. Use the approved complete adapter arrangement and its two supplies or batteries. The 200 W family’s battery-plate connection is a different power path; equal-looking panel accessories do not justify substituting a lower-rated supply.
| Setup check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Sheet / panel selection | The manual says to set sheet type before connection. Its menu examples include other panels; its technical compatibility line identifies FABRIC-LITE 35. Follow the actual 350 W unit and head labels. |
| RF Link Reset | Clear the previous LumenRadio transmitter pairing before linking a replacement. |
| DMX personality | Match two-channel white control and verify low-end fades, CCT and blackout. |
| Environment | The controller lists IP21 and −10 to 40°C operation; the fabric panel’s separate rating does not protect the entire package. |
Modifiers, rigging and the working package
The full frame package includes the dedicated fabric support, diffuser and grid, with bungees and a transport bag. Confirm whether a listing is a bare panel, a system or the complete framed kit.
When joining several fabric panels, calculate the source size from the actual arrangement. Four three-foot-square panels in a two-by-two array cover roughly six by six feet; they do not make a twelve-foot-square emitting surface. The complete frame and modifiers determine the rigging load and wind exposure.
Alternatives and related fixtures
| Fixture | Choose it for |
|---|---|
| amaran F22x | A smaller square variable-white mat. |
| LiteMat 4 Plus | A broad rectangular variable-white source. |
| FABRIC-LITE 200 | 900 × 900 mm, 200 W bi-colour fabric panel using the matching 200 W controller family. Lower rated head power than FABRIC-LITE 350; it is an earlier range entry. |
| MOSAIC 4×4 | 1100 × 1100 mm, 600 W white / 420 W RGB single-zone mat. Choose the square reflected shape when spatial pixel effects are unnecessary. |
| MOSAIC 4×4 PIXEL | The 1100 × 1100 mm format with 196 controllable pixels and M-PIXEL-DIM. Choose it for moving colour regions and interactive effects; include the extra network and mapping work. |

Rental and used-fixture checks
Inspect the fabric, grommets, hook-and-loop attachments and LED regions. Test the entire warm and cool white field before folding and packing.
Count the frame pieces, bungees, diffusion, grid, supply equipment, extensions and bags. Check the exact wattage of the head and its dimmer, and test DMX and LumenRadio with the intended console.
